Since August 2012, Chuck has led Central Counties Tourism with a mission to help communities understand how vital visitors are to their local economies. As Executive Director, he thrives on the ever-changing nature of the role, with a supportive board that encourages innovative approaches to help stakeholders grow and succeed. His experience as a former attraction owner gives him a unique perspective, allowing him to connect with stakeholders on a deeper level.

Chuck’s love for the region isn’t tied to specific locations—it’s about the people. He values the incredible operators throughout YDH, each with their own stories and passion for their businesses. When he’s not championing the region, you’ll likely find Chuck on the disc golf course. What started as a fun cottage game 40 years ago has turned into a year-round passion, complete with a bag full of discs for every situation. He’s even considering joining a few leagues and attending a Disc Golf Pro Tour event this year!

Chuck’s love for tourism stems from the positive energy that defines the industry. Whether locals or visitors, people come to experience joy, and Chuck is fascinated by the behind-the-scenes magic that makes those moments happen—like watching a duck glide effortlessly across a pond while knowing the work happening beneath the surface.
