Sandra first joined Central Counties Tourism (CCT) in March 2017 as an Industry Relations Manager before stepping into her current role as B2B Marketing & Communications Manager in January 2023. In this role, she develops and executes CCT’s yearly B2B digital strategy, including website management, social media planning, content creation, public relations, and e-newsletters — all aimed at increasing online engagement and awareness of CCT’s programs.

Sandra has over 25 years of experience in the tourism industry, with a strong foundation in sales, marketing, and stakeholder relations. She also has firsthand insight into working with CCT from multiple perspectives — having engaged with CCT as a stakeholder and served on the Board of Directors before becoming staff  – giving her a full 360-degree view of the organization.

There are so many incredible spots across York, Durham and Headwaters, but if she had to pick a favorite, it would have to be Homestead Orchards in Georgina, where their freshly baked pies and apple blondie brownies (and more!) make it a must-stop destination — and often the reason for spontaneous family road trips. She loves to travel and discover new places, and in her free time, enjoys binge-watching new series and volunteering with the Daily Bread Food Bank. While tourism wasn’t her original career path, she stumbled into the industry right out of university and was having so much fun, she never looked back.
