Since January 2013, Katie has been the backbone of Central Counties Tourism, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. As Director of Operations, she oversees finance, contracts, policies, and procedures—bringing order and efficiency to the organization. While some might find number crunching and paperwork tedious, Katie thrives on maintaining structure and predictability, drawing from a career that has always revolved around administration and finance. Her background includes a decade in the print and managed services industry, along with early experience as a summer intern at Xerox.

A history enthusiast at heart, Katie’s favorite local gem is The Village at Black Creek. Having visited countless times as a child—and even attending her best friend’s wedding in the historic church—this site holds a special place in her heart. Beyond her work at CCT, Katie is a published fiction author and content writer, balancing her love of structure with a deep well of creativity.

Katie’s journey into tourism was serendipitous. While finance and operations are needed in every industry, her time with CCT has given her a chance to expand her insights beyond her core responsibilities. She values being part of a team where everyone contributes to the organization’s success. When she’s not keeping CCT’s gears turning, you’ll likely find Katie out on the Bowmanville Pathways, enjoying an early morning jog with her puppy, Phlick.
