I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you. Thank you for providing us the great stories to tell potential visitors. Thank you for working together to build destinations. Thank you for continually supporting us – especially in a year when we were hit by such a large reduction in our budget.
You, and the other tourism professionals within Central Counties, fuel the staff’s passion for growing the industry and we are proud of the work we do together. I am continually singing your praises (bragging really) to my peers in other RTO’s and the province.
We still have a few months to go before our fiscal year end and there are many opportunities for you to take advantage of. We will be hosting our annual tourism symposium at the end of March. It is an amazing way to connect, network, and learn about the newest industry trends. Staff are so passionate about the event that even when it was cut from the budget, they committed to host it with a zero impact. I am thrilled to say that many of our regional and municipal partners have committed to helping produce the event. We will be thanking them amply at the symposium and are touched by their commitment to tourism.
The other thing to watch out for in January is the 2020-2021 Partnership Opportunities Guidelines. NEW FOR THIS YEAR are application deadlines. If you have a great project you are investing in and think it furthers tourism in the region, you don’t want to miss out by not applying on time.
