Adriana brings to the role over 10 years of experience in business development and sales in the digital media and technology industries, managing a variety of client portfolios ranging from SMBs, National Advertising Agencies, and client-direct, with relationships spanning Ontario, Atlantic Canada, and the West Coast. A highlight of her career was when she took the leap and moved to Vancouver. Over the course of two years, she nurtured and grew the western market while simultaneously exploring British Columbia, Alberta, and the Prairies. It was then she thought, “Hey, it would be amazing to have a career where I can continue exploring amazing small towns and cities across Canada, support amazing clients, and pay the bills?” Knowing that she wanted to try her hand at something other than media sales. The pandemic ended up leading to exciting changes in her life and the shift to the public sector. For the past year, she’s assumed the role of Industry Support Coordinator for Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization (RTO-11) on a maternity leave contract basis. Early on in her time with the RTO, she came to appreciate the interconnectedness of the various levels of stakeholders all contributing to the growth and sustainability of Ontario’s tourism ecosystem. She’s excited to meet and support an entirely new group of tourism partners, combining her passion for community development, relationship-building, and project management in the dynamic role of Director of Industry Development.
